About rockflowerpaper - Who are we?

We think you will agree that our Fall 2012 line has an amazing palette, and some beautiful new things - especially scarves, trays and totes.  We are very excited to present it to you, and thrilled with the response we have already gotten.  Thank you for coming to our site and taking a look. 

For rockflowerpaper, it's all about bringing the essence of nature home. We are based in the San Francisco Bay area, and we love transforming proprietary art and design into sophisticated, strong and colorful products.  Our products are well priced, tasteful, and of a very high quality - gorgeous  lacquer art trays, art placemats, pillows, totes, tunics, scarves, canvas baskets, kitchen towels, aprons, table runners, and espadrilles. It all works together to make a beautiful statement – take a look!  We think you will agree that there is nothing else out there that is quite like rockflowerpaper.

We were founded in 2008, but we have all been in some aspect of the wholesale design business for the better part of our careers. CEO Katie Smith was one of the co-founders of Mulberry Neckwear, which, over twenty years, grew to become a $50 million company, and one of the top three necktie companies in the US. VP of Design, Katie Shillinglaw, is a Savannah College of Art and Design graduate in textile design, who ran Mulberry's studio for fifteen–plus years. Andy Spiegel, our VP of Sales and Katie Smith's husband, has spent his whole career in sales and branding. We have all known each other for a long time, and are having a great time building this new company.

Because we are a design driven company, we love to do special products for larger customers who want something unique. We also pride ourselves on treating our specialty store customers with kid gloves – we want to have a great relationship with our customers!
